Most manufacturers align their ink colors with traditional paper-printing inks in order to obtain the same degree of vibrancy and color matching. The inks are sold in cartridges online and in baking supply stores. You can follow the manufacturer's guidelines to replace your existing color inkjet cartridge with the Inkedibles inks cartridge and start printing within minutes.

During the printing process, the ink is sprayed onto rice paper, or frosting paper, which is food-grade paper made of starches and sugars. Because the paper is water soluble, it dissolves when it touches the frosting on a cake, thereby leaving just the printed image. You can also purchase specialty backings that dissolve only under certain conditions.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT MIX regular inks with edible inks. Inkedibles inks (food coloring) are intended to be used only in brand new compatible Inkedibles refillables ink cartridges that are filled only with Inkedibles inks. Never put Inkedibles inks inside a cartridge (or inside a printer) that has had regular ink running through it because contamination can occur.
